For 25 years now “La Nit des Esport” ( The Sports Night) is celebrated in the province of Baix Llobregat (Barcelona) on which occasion those athletes who have achieved significant accomplishments during the previous sports season are rewarded. Among the awards given, are those issued by the newspaper Delta, which honors athletes who have excelled in their recent career.
The “Delta” jury, in addition to the athlete’s career has always valued the human factor, and in this case, where the award-winning personal assessment has not counted heavier than the “Periodic Delta Llobregat Esportiva a la millor trayectoria Esportiva 2011” award, Daniel Plaza, without doubt, was voted the best athlete of the Baix Llobregat in history.
Daniel Plaza, member of the Real Club Nautico Torrevieja, a great friend and a wonderful person, has always shown, from his position as Councillor for the Torrevieja Sports council, an unconditional support for sports and special activities organized by our club; in cases that we have required the support of the council or its presence to participate or preside over a ceremony, we could count on him.
From our desk, we want to congratulate Daniel Plaza with this well earned award and to express our pride as well as the desire of all members, that the Real Club Nautico Torrevieja continues for many years, to enjoy his always pleasant presence.
